From a Shared Bedroom to a Shared Dream

“We don’t just make flowers — we make futures.” — Cyana Duong

Founder's Message

“Inspired by paper flowers. Powered by purpose.”

I’m Cyana Duong, and Camie Fleur began in the most unlikely place — a small, shared bedroom during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I had just arrived in Australia with a suitcase, barely any English, and no idea what the future would hold.

My twin sister Hien, who lives in Vietnam, has always been my greatest inspiration. Growing up, we found happiness in the simplest things — like the delicate paper flowers our grandfather used to make for us by hand. That memory stayed with me.

Years later, working in the floral industry, I was heartbroken to see the amount of fresh flowers imported, used for just a day, and thrown away. I couldn’t stop thinking:

What if flowers didn’t have to die?

What if they were beautiful — but also kind to the Earth?

And what if they could create opportunities for women like Hien?

That’s when Camie Fleur bloomed — not just as a business, but to honour the people I love, the planet we live on, and the power of meaningful beauty.

🤝 The Heart of Camie Fleur

Camie Fleur began not just with me — but also my university best friend, Amy Vu, a passionate soul and now mother to a beautiful daughter, Ari.

Together, we dreamed of making a difference:

  • Flowers that don’t die
  • Events that don’t waste
  • Jobs that lift women up

Amy brought her warmth, vision, and motherly strength into our early dream, balancing business meetings with nappy changes and nap schedules.

Today, that dream continues — with every bouquet, every partnership, every bloom.
